Finding Aim

Life is unpredictable but still, we try to define it by our aim. The meaning of life is different for every individual. We can't compare heterogenous mentality. Everybody at one point of time in their life faced the question "What do you want to be in your life?".Honestly, it is different for each and everyone at different phases of their life. It is explicitly explained through my painting. Some people thought they already know their aims and try harder every day. But still, they lose track, again get up, find their aim, and again work till their last breath to achieve that aim. Some people just don't care about the before-said question of finding an aim and moving according to their present situation. But in the end, everyone is lost in "finding aim".In the journey of finding an aim and fulfilling it, everyone's mentality develops, life situation change, sometimes they lose motivation, sometimes they are the better version of themselves and sometimes it feels like the TIME is going backwards. They are starting again from 'Zero'.I realised that Life is nothing but the spiral movement of starting from zero, finding aim, reaching 100 and again going back to 0. But still, it goes on. Aims to keep us alive, give us hope, and make us superheroes of our own. It is dynamic and goes on even if you can find your aim or not. At the end One last question for you- "Did you find your aim"?

Meet the Artist

Poulomi Biswas

Behind my every artwork, there is a woman who is continuously trying to accept reality. That woman is me. The journey to death is living. Through my artwork, I share my thoughts and some unforgettable and unbearable moments that I had or I'm having at present. Situations got stuck with me until I try to admit and express them in any art form like Painting, Print Making and Installation. I draw whatever comes to my mind consciously or unconsciously while holding the pencil.

One of my habits is to sit down wherever and just think, imagine and desire by ignoring all the things in front of me. At this moment I question every possible thing that comes to my sense. I try to reflect on these routines of my daily activities, desires, and the thing that I have lost in my past in my artworks. I am flexible with the mediums I choose for my work. Using a mix of medium and woodcut is what I like the most till now. I feel pleasure while curving the ply or wood block. On the other hand, using different materials and mediums in my work feels like freedom.
