Puja Das

Puja’s art practice revolves around the notion of constructions, a phenomenon that has been existing in her surroundings ever since she was a child. In correspondence to the transformation of her home land to a city space, she emphasises on the notions and mundane activities that remain constant, seen yet unnoticed amidst this never ending cycle of evolution that one experiences. Das’s artworks are an outcome of those observations made in and of her surroundings as she places herself in the larger context of growth, development and transformation of city space through the process of stitching, an act of amendment to signify construction.
