Rajashree Dutta Choudhury is an Educator, Visual Artist, Writer, and Researcher from Silchar, Assam, India. She earned her Master and Bachelor of Visual Arts in Painting from Assam University, Silchar, where she is also pursuing her PhD. Rajashree’s interests include Contemporary Art, Art & Cultural Studies, and traditional and performing arts of India and the globe. Her significant contributions in Visual Arts include her involvement with the Santiniketan Society of Visual Art & Design (SSVAD) under Jogen Chowdhury. She has shared her creative process with legendary artists like K G Subramanyan, Anjolie Ela Menon, Arpana Caur, Himmat Shah, K S Radhakrishnan, Manu Parekh, Madhvi Parekh, Sunil Das, and others.

Rajashree has extensively contributed to international and national art exhibitions, residency programs, workshops, and camps, including India Art Fair 2022, Jehangir Art Gallery (2023), The Bombay Art Society (2023), and initiatives by Lalit Kala Akademi and the Ministry of Culture. Her artworks have been featured in various international and national publications and prominent art magazines like Art&Deal. Rajashree has presented research papers at numerous seminars and conferences and her artworks are collected by academic institutes and art centers globally. She holds memberships in multiple art societies and organizations, has served as a jury member for various art competitions, and has been invited as an external examiner for university-level practical exams. Currently, Rajashree is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fine Arts at Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, guiding students in visual arts and nurturing their talents through both theory and practice.
