Collection: Shruuti Kapoor

With 25 years of experience, Shruuti Kapoor is a multidisciplinary artist whose
work transcends traditional boundaries. Specializing in black-and-white media, she
explores the nuances of life, emotions, and the human experience through ink,
charcoal, and watercolour. Her abstract creations evoke a sense of balance,
weaving together the joys, sorrows, and complexities that shape our lives.
Shruuti's art captures not only the aesthetic beauty of the monochromatic palette
but also delves deeply into the emotional and philosophical dimensions of human
experience. Her work thrives on the interplay between light and dark, where the
contrasts symbolize the dualities of life—joy and sorrow, strength and
vulnerability, chaos, and harmony. Through the meticulous use of Inks, Charcoal,
and Watercolours, Shruti's abstract compositions invite the viewer to explore their
own emotional landscapes, evoking a sense of connection and introspection.
Each piece reflects her personal journey through life's myriad emotions—joy,
happiness, sadness, and the constant pursuit of balance. The absence of colour
allows her to focus on the raw emotions conveyed through form, texture, and
shading, creating art that speaks to the universal human condition. In Shruuti's
work, the simplicity of black and white becomes a powerful language, capable of
expressing the complexities of existence, where every stroke and shade tells a,story of resilience, vulnerability, and the search for meaning.

In addition to her painting practice, Shruti is an accomplished photographer,
bringing a unique perspective to her visual storytelling. A passionate educator,
Shruti runs a successful art studio, where she teaches art, craft, and painting to
adults and children of all ages. Having exhibited her work in both solo and group
shows across India and internationally, Shruti continues to push the boundaries of
her creative expression, infusing every project with the depth and sensitivity that, define her work.
