This Piece titled ‘GUERRILLA’ addresses the harrowing scenes of Rapes, Abduction, domestic violence, marital rapes and other crimes connected with suffering and traumas of repression on the lives of female. Being a sensitive observer I have expressed the rage through this painting. The dominating woman with the pistol is symbolic of Devi acts as safeguard for her welfare, overall this painting talk about the sensitive issue which is deeply rooted in our generational patriarchy and all forms of inequalities and empowers the silent victims to raise their voices against these issues.

 

My works creates avant-garde style paintings around the changing society and gives an insight in the uniqueness of human condition and psyche. The paintings manifest multiple overlapping figures juxtaposed to each other. The connections between positives and negatives become blurred as a result that is dominated by monochromes of blues and blacks which evokes moods, emotion sentiments of the viewer with artistic, pictorial and symbolic vitality. The works are multidimensional and multi perspective around materialistic society.
